Ryan joined the Belgium Cold Springs Fire Department in 2002. He started his tenure with BCSFD as a Youth Member after attending the Radisson Founder’s Day and talking with one of veteran members, Marty Quinn.
In 2006 after turning the age of 18, he joined the department as an Active Member. Ryan completed his New York State Firefighter 1 Certification and shortly thereafter became an interior firefighter.
Ryan holds many certifications at the County and State level and is currently an Onondaga County Fire Investigation Apprentice. After serving as a firefighter he moved into the officer ranks at BCSFD. Ryan started out as an interior firefighter, moved to Lieutenant and then Captain of Station 2. Ryan moved out of Radisson and is now responding to Station 1 (River Road).
